On Peter King

Peter King, writer for SI.com, has come up with fantastic reasons why the Pittsburgh Steelers will win the Super Bowl over the Seattle Seahawks. Just fantastic. Here are a couple of his aforementioned reasons. Get ready to be enlightened.

1. Pittsburgh's physicality. I think Jerome Bettis is going to be a big factor in this game-no pun intended-and the Steelers are pretty happy to match their running game against the smallish Seattle linebackers.

What on earth could have given Peter this idea? Maybe it was the fact that Bettis over three playoff games has accumulated a whopping 137 yards from 42 carries for 45.7 yards per playoff game and 3.3 yards per carry. These already pedestrian running statistics become even less impressive when compared to Willie Parker, Pittsburgh's other running back, who has 132 yards from 47 carries for 44.0 yards per playoff game and 2.8 yards per carry.

2. Ben Roethlisberger won't play like he's 23.

And what age exactly will Ben be playing like? I certainly hope it's not age 31 because Jake Plummer was 31 when he fumbled twice and he threw two interceptions in a home playoff game.
